35th Annual Masonic Childrens Festival

Brethren, Please take the time to look at the photos of the 35th annual Masonic Childrens Festival.  Many Masons, Shriners, Order of the Eastern Star and other Volunteers worked very hard preparing and running this event.  Many, many Happy children were in attendance, from simply mingling, to the Shriner Clowns, to the games and food.

This is what you help us do.  Your donations, part of your yearly dues, your thougths and prayers Make this happen every year.  Without YOU, this would not be possible.  Your Brothers who are currently living in yokosuka (and japan in general) could never do this without your support.  As more photos arrive from the brethren, I will post them up, but remember this is what we do, and we could not do it without you.  I hope that you can take pride in our work on your behalf.

Sincerely and Fraternally Your Brothers at Yokosuka Lodge # 20

other notes of interest;  Bro. Tom Usher is investigating the local orphanages and Special Needs centers to find a suitable location for the Yokosuka Lodge #20 to assist.  Due to the current popularity with the many private orgs on base for duing orphanage trips, it was decided that we should look carefully to find a location that was not over saturated.  He will report back at the next stated meeting.

Bro. Ken Morgan presented a motion that to help curb the rash of cellphones that were ringing while in lodge that a voluntary $10 Donation would be given to the little house each time a cell phone rang audibly while in lodge (vibe and manner mode were deemed aceptable by all). it was seconded, put on the floor for discussion, and approved by majority vote.  All the brethren immediatley checked their phones to ensure that they were on vibe!
