Philippines Relief Effort: October 02, 2009

Brethren,

As mentioned last night in the Lodge, we are going to be shipping
relief goods to Manila. I am trying to get Jacobel Zobel Memorial Lodge
in Makati to accept our goods and distribute them. I will buy 2 boxes
from NEX Pack and Wrap and have FOREX pick it up Monday.

Having said the above, we need to meet in the Lodge this Friday at
1700 to receive and pack the boxes to be shipped. Details are:

When: Friday, October 2nd
Time: 1700 until finished
Where: Yokosuka Lodge #20

Items that are needed:

1) Hygienic items; tooth paste, tooth brushes, soaps
2) Simple Medications for cold and flu
3) Dry food items or canned food
4) Clothing

I have been told that they are needed in that order, as clothes are
flowing in from the provinces, but medicines and hygienic items are in
demand. We need to keep in mind that many have lost everything and the
simple things are needed most.

I hope to see as many as possible in the Lodge for an hour or so Friday!

Fraternally,
Bro Roy

Request for pictures from past installations and lodge officers

Greetings brethren,

I hope this message finds everyone in good spirits. Currently we are currently in the process of improving our lodge website. One of the requirements to make this website a great representation of our lodge in the Internet is to have pictures of important events in which our lodge has participated. I am currently looking for pictures of past installations and lodge officers. All pictures are greatly appreciated, please send to webmaster at yokosukalodge20 dot com .   Thanks for your time and help.

E-Trestle Board : Updates

Brethren,

Greetings and hope all is well with you and family.  It is with pleasure to report to you that we had a very successful day at the Children's Festival yesterday (13 Sep 2009).  Our "meat on the stick" is a hit, as usual, and we ran out of food before 1:00 pm.  We also manned the adjacent booth serving the traditional Japanese yakisoba and there occurred a very interesting development.  With Bros. Vigie Marasigan, Wilson Bohol, and John Rey de Leon on the helm - they introduced a new yakisoba version, which is now known as the "Philippine Yakisoba".  It was also a hit and run out first before the traditional yakisoba.  If you're interested on the new recipe, you can consult with the aforementioned brothers and maybe, just maybe, for a small fee, they will share the secrets with you.

Below is the latest changes on our Lodge's schedule and activities for the month of September 2009:

Sep 29, 2009 - Practice "Raising" Sign-up for your positions with Bro. Roy Rommelman.

"RAISING" FOR BRO. PHIL KEATSDEVER IS SCHEDULED ON OCTOBER 13, 2009.

Please let me know if I have missed to address any important lodge schedule/function for the month/ensuing months.  I would appreciate any/all input for the good of the order.
